INKLOCK HAIRLINE
TYPES OF HAIR TATTOO Treatments
Scalp Pigmentation can be a solution for many hair loss issues. Here are some of the ways we can help you.
Hair Transplant Scars
A common byproduct of hair transplant procedures – scars can leave unsightly, pale, bald patches at the back of your head.
Our scar camouflage is the perfect way to hide this side effect and blends in with your natural hair colour.

Thinning Hair
A hair tattoo can be a wonderful addition to a head of hair that has good coverage but poor density. Micropigmentation can add a base layer of colour to the scalp and alleviate the contrast of hair to skin.

PREPARATION FOR YOUR TREATMENT
It’s best to prepare for your appointment ahead of time to ensure the best outcome of your scalp micropigmentation.
48 Hours Before your SMP appointment
- Please don't consume anything that may thin the blood, for example alcohol or aspirin. Although bleeding is extremely minimal during treatments, blood thinning compounds can cause more bleeding than usual, resulting in adverse effects.
general Preparation
- Scalp Micropigmentation looks best when your hair is shaved between a grade 0 and 1. Shave the night before your treatment or we can do this for you on the day.
- Take a shower on the morning of your SMP.
Aftercare Advice
For the first three days following your procedure do not:
- Touch your scalp (unless absolutely necessary)
- Wash your scalp
- Shave your scalp
- Expose your head to any strong sunlight
- Swim
- Sweating
Once this initial period of three days is over, for the next week, please ensure that you:
- Wash your scalp daily with water only
- Moisturise your scalp daily with a gentle moisturiser that is free from alcohol (L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Sensitive 0% ALCOHOL is a good choice)
- Shave your head gently with care not to be abrasive
- Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen to your scalp if it will be exposed to strong sunlight
- Do not swim without wearing a swimming cap
- Do not sweat excessively
- Do not itch, pick, scratch or rub your scalp
- Wash and moisturise your scalp daily
- Take care when shaving your scalp
- Apply strong sunscreen on days you know your scalp will be exposed to strong sunlight
Please remember that the colour of your Scalp Micropigmentation procedure will appear darker in the first couple of weeks following the treatment, and the true shade will not be visible until at least the first week following your last session. During the healing process, the colour may seem to have faded as it is obscured by the healing skin. Under no circumstances should you have further permanent cosmetic work undertaken during this healing period.
In order to keep your Scalp Micropigmentation work in good condition it may be necessary to have a maintenance procedure around every three to five years, though this will vary for each individual. The cost of this procedure is roughly a quarter of the original procedure.
